- 1/2 cup chopped apple (peeled and cored)
- 1/3 cup raisins
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the apple and raisins. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream, egg, and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a dough.
- Shape and Bake: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, pat into a circle, and cut into wedges. Place on the baking sheet, brush with cream, and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown. Cool before serving.
Notes
- For a softer scone, avoid overworking the dough.
- You can use dried cranberries or chopped dates instead of raisins.
- Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples are recommended for this recipe.
