  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. Bake the Chicken Wings: Arrange the chicken wings on the rack in a single layer. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  3. Make the Pineapple Glaze: In a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, and black pepper. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  4. Thicken the Glaze: Create a slurry with cornstarch and water. Whisk into the sauce and simmer until thickened.
  5. Coat the Wings: Transfer baked wings to a bowl, pour the glaze over them, and toss to coat.
  6. Optional Broil: Broil the wings for 2–3 minutes for a sticky finish.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • You can use canned pineapple juice or juice from crushed pineapple.
