Ingredients

Scale

Liquids

  • 2 ounces cherry juice
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 ounce silver rum
  • 1 ounce club soda
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup

Garnishes

  • 2 maraschino cherries
  • 1 lime wedge

Others

  • Ice cubes (for shaker and glass)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shaker. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes to chill the drink while mixing.
  2. Add cherry juice. Pour 2 ounces of cherry juice into the shaker for a fruity base.
  3. Add lime juice. Pour 1 ounce of lime juice into the shaker to add citrus tang.
  4. Add silver rum. Pour 1 ounce of silver rum into the shaker to provide the cocktail’s alcoholic kick.
  5. Add simple syrup. Include 1 tablespoon of simple syrup to balance tartness with sweetness.
  6. Seal the shaker. Place the lid on tightly to prepare for shaking.
  7. Shake the ingredients. Vigorously shake the shaker for 10-15 seconds to mix well and chill the mixture.
  8. Prepare the glass. Fill a serving glass with fresh ice cubes to keep the cocktail cold.
  9. Strain the mixture. Strain the shaken cocktail into the prepared glass over the ice.
  10. Add club soda. Top off the drink with 1 ounce of club soda to add a refreshing fizz.
  11. Garnish with cherries. Place 2 maraschino cherries on a cocktail pick and set it on top of the glass.
  12. Garnish with lime. Cut a lime wedge and place it on the rim of the glass to enhance aroma and presentation.
  13. Serve. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Cherry Lime Cocktail.

Notes

  • Use fresh lime juice for the best flavor.
  • Silver rum is preferred, but white or light rum can be used as alternatives.
  • Adjust the simple syrup quantity if you prefer a less sweet or sweeter cocktail.
  • To make it non-alcoholic, omit the rum and increase club soda or cherry juice accordingly.
  • Shake vigorously but avoid over-shaking to prevent dilution.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the optimal fizz and chill.
