Streusel Topping:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (cold and cubed)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking dish.
- Prepare Streusel: In a medium bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and cold butter until crumbly. Set aside.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: Cream softened butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and sour cream.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture.
- Layer and Bake: Spread half of the batter, sprinkle half of the streusel, repeat, then bake for 35–40 minutes.
- Cool and Serve: Cool in the pan before cutting into slices and serving.
