  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Streusel Topping:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (cold and cubed)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking dish.
  2. Prepare Streusel: In a medium bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and cold butter until crumbly. Set aside.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: Cream softened butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and sour cream.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture.
  5. Layer and Bake: Spread half of the batter, sprinkle half of the streusel, repeat, then bake for 35–40 minutes.
  6. Cool and Serve: Cool in the pan before cutting into slices and serving.
