Ingredients
Scale
Pastry
- 1 sheet gluten-free puff pastry (thawed)
Filling and Topping
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- Gluten-free flour for dusting
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Muffin Tin: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin to prevent sticking.
- Roll Out Pastry: On a lightly floured surface with gluten-free flour, roll out the thawed gluten-free puff pastry into a 10×12 inch rectangle.
- Brush with Butter and Add Filling: Evenly brush the surface of the pastry with melted butter. Sprinkle the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon evenly over the buttered dough.
- Roll and Slice: Starting from the long edge, tightly roll the dough up into a log. Then slice the log lengthwise in half to expose the layers.
- Twist and Shape: Twist each half into a spiral, then roll each spiral up like a cinnamon roll.
- Place in Muffin Cups: Place each spiral into the prepared muffin tin cups, cut side up, shaping each to fit well.
- Bake: Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the cruffins are puffed up and golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Let the cruffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
Notes
- You can customize the filling with chocolate chips, jam, or nut butter for added flavor.
- Ensure your puff pastry is certified gluten-free to maintain gluten-free status.
