Description
This Easy Pineapple Margarita is a refreshing and tropical twist on the classic cocktail, combining tangy lime, sweet pineapple juice, and smooth tequila. Perfect for a quick, vibrant single serving, it balances citrus flavors with a hint of sweetness and a salted rim for an extra burst of flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Margarita
- 2 ounces tequila
- 2 ounces pineapple juice
- 1 ounce orange liqueur
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- ½ ounce simple syrup
- ice cubes (as needed)
For Garnish and Rim
- kosher salt (for rimming)
- lime wedges (for rimming)
- pineapple wedge (for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare the glass rim: Pour coarse kosher salt onto a small plate. Using a lime wedge, rub the rim of a lowball glass to moisten it, then invert the glass onto the salt and twist gently to coat the rim evenly. Set the glass aside.
- Mix the cocktail: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the tequila, orange liqueur, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds to thoroughly chill and mix the ingredients.
- Serve: Fill the prepared salted-rim glass with fresh ice and strain the margarita mixture into the glass. Garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge on the rim and serve immediately for a refreshing experience.
Notes
- For an extra zing, use freshly squeezed pineapple juice if possible.
- Adjust the simple syrup amount to taste for desired sweetness.
- Chill your glass beforehand for an even colder margarita.
- Use silver or blanco tequila for a smoother flavor profile.
