Description

These Hawaiian Roll Cheeseburger Sliders are a delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors, perfect for parties, game days, or quick dinners. Ground beef seasoned with garlic and onion powder is cooked to perfection, layered with cheddar cheese, dill pickles, and a tangy ketchup-mustard-mayo sauce on soft, sweet Hawaiian rolls. Baked until golden and melty, these sliders are irresistible mini burgers everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 1 package (12-count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced dill pickles

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Finishing

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baking dish and rolls: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating the individual rolls, creating a top and bottom slab. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
  2. Cook the ground beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Assemble the sliders: Spread the cooked beef evenly over the bottom layer of rolls. Layer the cheese slices on top of the beef and sprinkle the diced dill pickles evenly over the cheese.
  4. Make and spread the sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, yellow mustard, and mayonnaise. Spread this sauce evenly on the underside of the top roll layer.
  5. Finish assembling and add toppings: Place the top rolls over the assembled sliders in the baking dish. Brush the melted butter generously over the tops and sprinkle with sesame seeds if you like.
  6. Bake the sliders: Cover the baking dish loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Serve warm: Once baked, slice between the rolls to separate individual sliders and serve them warm for the best taste.

Notes

  • Customize these sliders with your favorite burger toppings such as sautéed onions, crispy bacon, or spicy jalapeños to suit your taste.
  • They are perfect for gatherings, casual get-togethers, or as a quick, satisfying dinner option.
