Ingredients
Scale
Steak Bites
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Loaded Baked Potatoes
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt for seasoning the potatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Potatoes: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash the russet potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry. Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Place them on a baking sheet and bake until tender, about 45-60 minutes depending on the size of the potatoes.
- Cook Steak Bites: While the potatoes are baking, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the sirloin steak pieces with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Once the oil is hot, add the steak bites and cook until browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 3-5 minutes depending on size.
- Prepare Loaded Potatoes: Once the baked potatoes are ready, slice them open and fluff the inside with a fork. If desired, add a tablespoon of butter to each potato for extra richness.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the potatoes and place them back in the oven or under a broiler for a few minutes until the cheese melts.
- Serve: Remove the potatoes from the oven. Top each potato with the cooked steak bites, sour cream, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions. Serve immediately for a hearty and flavorful meal.
Notes
- Adjust steak cooking time based on your preferred level of doneness.
- You can bake potatoes in advance and reheat before serving to save time.
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of smoked paprika or chili flakes to the steak seasoning.
- Use low-fat sour cream or Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
