Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels (about 4-5 ears of corn if fresh)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the Skillet – In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Cook the Corn – Add the corn kernels to the skillet (if using frozen corn, be sure to thaw and drain it first). Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corn is heated through and starting to brown slightly.
- Add the Honey and Seasonings – Reduce the heat to low, then add the honey, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Stir well to coat the corn in the honey butter mixture. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the honey to caramelize slightly and the flavors to meld together.
- Garnish and Serve – Sprinkle with fresh parsley or cilantro, if desired, and serve warm. Enjoy!
Notes
- For best flavor, use fresh corn during the summer months when it’s in season.
- If using frozen corn, make sure to thaw and drain it well to avoid excess moisture.
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey according to your taste.
- Adding garlic powder is optional but adds a nice subtle depth of flavor.
- Fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro add a fresh contrast and can be substituted with chives or green onions.
