Ingredients
Scale
Beef Patties
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
Lasagna Layer
- 4 lasagna noodles, cooked and cut to burger bun size
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 4 slices crispy bacon
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Buns
- 4 brioche burger buns
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Prepare patties: Form the ground beef into 4 equal-sized patties. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to infuse classic Italian flavors into the meat.
- Cook patties: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
- Cook noodles: Boil the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and cut each noodle to match the size of your burger buns.
- Assemble lasagna layer: On top of each cooked burger patty, place a piece of the cut lasagna noodle. Spread ricotta cheese over the noodle, add a generous spoonful of marinara sauce, top with a slice of crispy bacon, and sprinkle with shredded Parmesan cheese.
- Toast buns: Butter the brioche buns evenly on the cut sides. Using the same skillet, toast the buns over medium heat until golden brown and fragrant.
- Assemble burger: Spread additional marinara sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the lasagna-topped burger patty on top, then cover with the top bun. Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Use preferably 80/20 ground beef for optimal juiciness and flavor.
- Cook the lasagna noodles just until al dente to avoid sogginess in the burger.
- You can substitute brioche buns with your favorite burger buns if desired.
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
- Ensure to cook bacon until crispy for a nice textural contrast.
