- 1/2 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)
- 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts or almonds)
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, stir together almond butter and honey until smooth. Add applesauce and vanilla extract, mix well.
- Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in oats, cinnamon, and salt until fully combined. Fold in nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate chips if using.
- Bake: Press the mixture into the prepared pan, bake for 25–30 minutes until set. Let cool before cutting into bars.
- Storage: Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
Notes
- For a nut-free version, use sunflower seed butter and omit the chopped nuts.
- You can swap the dried fruit for any preferred mix-ins like shredded coconut or chopped dates.
