Description

Peanut Butter Banana Quesadillas are a quick, delicious, and kid-friendly snack that combines creamy peanut butter, sweet banana slices, and a hint of cinnamon all melted together in a golden, crispy flour tortilla. This easy stovetop recipe is perfect for a wholesome treat any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale

Quesadillas

  • 2 medium flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large ripe banana, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon butter or coconut oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tortillas: Spread peanut butter evenly over one side of each flour tortilla to ensure each bite is creamy and flavorful.
  2. Add Banana and Seasoning: Layer banana slices on one peanut butter–covered tortilla, making sure to cover the entire surface. Sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzle honey over the bananas if you want a touch of extra sweetness.
  3. Assemble the Quesadilla: Place the second tortilla on top, with the peanut butter side facing down to create a sandwich.
  4. Heat the Skillet: Warm the butter or coconut oil in a skillet over medium heat until melted and hot.
  5. Cook the Quesadilla: Place the assembled quesadilla in the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, pressing gently, until the tortillas are golden brown and crisp and the peanut butter is melty.
  6. Serve: Remove the quesadilla from the skillet, allow it to cool slightly, then slice into wedges and serve warm for a comforting snack.

Notes

  • Add mini chocolate chips or chopped nuts inside the quesadilla for extra texture and flavor.
  • Whole wheat tortillas are a great alternative if you want a healthier twist.
