Description

Delicious and easy Spinach Dip Rolls made with creamy spinach and cheese filling wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough. Perfect as a warm appetizer or party snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Spinach Filling

  • 1 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Dough and Topping

  • 1 package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easy.
  2. Make the Spinach Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the thawed and squeezed spinach with cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, Parmesan, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and optional crushed red pepper flakes. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a flat surface and press the seams together to form one large rectangle. This will help keep the filling from leaking out during baking.
  4. Spread the Filling: Evenly spread the spinach mixture over the dough, leaving a small border along the edges to seal the rolls properly.
  5. Roll and Slice: Starting from the long side, carefully roll the dough into a log shape. Slice the log into 12 equal rolls using a sharp knife to ensure even baking.
  6. Arrange and Brush Rolls: Place the rolls cut side up on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart. Brush the tops lightly with the beaten egg to give them a shiny, golden finish after baking.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and bubbling with cheese.
  8. Serve: Serve the rolls warm for best taste and texture. They make a perfect appetizer or snack for gatherings.

Notes

  • These rolls are best served fresh from the oven but can be reheated in a 325°F oven for 8–10 minutes to regain warmth and crispness.
  • For extra flavor and crunch, sprinkle everything bagel seasoning on top before baking.
