Description

These Teriyaki Beef Burgers are a delicious fusion of Asian flavors in a classic American dish. Juicy beef patties infused with teriyaki sauce, topped with grilled pineapple and a savory teriyaki mayo, all sandwiched between toasted buns.

Ingredients

Scale

Burger Patties:

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 4 tablespoons teriyaki sauce (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Additional Ingredients:

  • 4 pineapple rings (fresh or canned)
  • 4 hamburger buns (toasted)
  • 4 slices Swiss or mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Burger Patties: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Form into 4 patties.
  2. Cooking: Cook patties on a preheated grill or skillet for 4–5 minutes per side. Top with cheese in the last minute to melt.
  3. Grilling Pineapple: Grill pineapple rings for 1–2 minutes per side.
  4. Teriyaki Mayo: Mix mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  5. Assembly: Spread teriyaki mayo on buns, add lettuce, patty, grilled pineapple, onion, and top bun.
  6. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free buns and check teriyaki sauce for gluten.
  • Swap Swiss cheese with provolone or cheddar for variation.
  • Add sriracha to the teriyaki mayo for a spicy twist.
