Burger Patties:
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 4 tablespoons teriyaki sauce (divided)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Additional Ingredients:
- 4 pineapple rings (fresh or canned)
- 4 hamburger buns (toasted)
- 4 slices Swiss or mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 red onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- Burger Patties: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Form into 4 patties.
- Cooking: Cook patties on a preheated grill or skillet for 4–5 minutes per side. Top with cheese in the last minute to melt.
- Grilling Pineapple: Grill pineapple rings for 1–2 minutes per side.
- Teriyaki Mayo: Mix mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
- Assembly: Spread teriyaki mayo on buns, add lettuce, patty, grilled pineapple, onion, and top bun.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free buns and check teriyaki sauce for gluten.
- Swap Swiss cheese with provolone or cheddar for variation.
